![]() Leadership TrainingOn 8 May 2024, Ohekwuru Lovecares Foundation conducted a leadership training session at Lead Academy Secondary School. The training was attended by 10 students and focused on building leadership skills and personal responsibility. The school proprietor was also present and actively contributed to the discussion. ![]() Empowering Girls Through Vocational SkillsElizabeth, one of our field workers, is providing vocational tailoring training to five young women. By learning a practical trade, these girls gain independence, confidence, and a sustainable way to earn a living, support their families, and break the cycle of poverty. | ![]() Papa IduPapa Idu is an elderly, physically disabled man from Ikwokwu Uwokwu who was completely abandoned and left without family or support. He has no wife, no children, and no known relatives. For years, he lived alone in an abandoned building, surviving by begging from house to house. As his health deteriorated, he became unable to move, leaving him trapped, helpless, and without food or care. By the time he was found, Papa Idu was weak, malnourished, and close to death. | ![]() Reaching the Most VulnerableThis elderly woman lives alone in difficult conditions, with limited access to food and basic necessities. One of our field workers, Heartily, visited her to provide food supplies and personal hygiene items, helping to ease her daily struggle. This support goes beyond relief—it restores dignity and reminds her that she has not been forgotten. |
